Terrorist groups and their activities
Terrorists responsible for the deadly attacks are many. A list of these extremist groups was extracted from the Global Terrorism Database website. The targets of their attacks include military personnel and the government buildings. The fanatics targeted private citizens including innocent school children. The fatalities of these innocent lives are shown in the plot below.

The groups that caused the most deaths in recent years are represented in a vertical bar chart below. The plot shows that the terrorist group called Boko Haram caused the most deaths in 2013.
Technical details: These plots were created using the ggplot2 library. Two kinds of charts were implemented: The line chart and a vertical bar chart. The sqldf library was used to filter data before plotting. The data was cleaned by removing single quotes, by converting data types, by sorting, by aggregating and by creating unique rows.
